Tips & Tricks to Lower Your Heating & Air Bill
- Keeping your air filter clean! According to the US Department of Energy, replacing a clogged air filter can lower the units energy use by 5-15%
- In the summer, keep blinds & curtains closed. In the winter, open them to let the sun light in
- Only heat & cool your rooms you are using by shutting vents to rooms not being used.
- Adjust the thermostat when you are away. A programmable thermostat can help do this. However, this only works if the temperature is going to be adjusted for 8 hours or more. Changing the temperature too often can raise your bill.
